There are different paths to success. The right way is your way. It is definitely the case for Paul Anderson, founder of Prolango. He created his own path to success, even by going against what he learned growing up. This to me is a great example of how one’s business can help them break personal barriers sometimes. Not the other way around. As an entrepreneur, you may take different risks with your business that you might not take in your personal life. In fact, that may be the reason why someone can take bigger risks in their business. Just food for thought…
Talking to Paul was like taking a picture of what it looks like when the heart and the mind work together, in harmony. He has a brilliant mind and he can hear his heart’s calling. Someone like Oprah, for example, started out as a Paul Anderson. We recognize it when we see it. We want to be them, with them, around them. We buy their book, music, watch their movies and quote their words. We talk about them with our colleagues and friends. I felt energized and exhilarated as a result of this interview with Paul. He is the kind of person who is not afraid of your light. Because he is not afraid of his own. He wants to help you match it out in the world in a fulfilling career.
Here is a question for you: How can one make money by giving powerful information away for free? Well, listen to my interview with Paul and find out. This is one of the most fearless, unorthodox and ingenious business models I am seeing a solopreneur employ. How and how well he is playing this game is so delicious. In fact, if you have not seen him talk, go to one of his free career search workshops through Prolango. EVEN if you are not looking for a job. He has a giant presence and a powerful message. It comes through in everything he says. If I was looking for a job, I would want him on my side. Just saying… :)
PS: Paul gave us some useful networking advice that can be applied to business networking, not just for career.
